Each programme had several elements, most of them recognisable from some familiar television or theatre form. There was the in-vision presenter (from documentary), songs and sketches (from revue and political theatre), animation (the radical potential of which had already been demonstrated by the Monty Python programmes); there was also film shot by radical film-makers and there were interviews with people who were normally viewers of television, which replaced both the more usual short 'vox pop' interviews with people in the street and the authority-figure interviews.
