The cab driver drove us around in search of our missing ship.

It becomes the new number one priority. The former number two priority becomes the most important. We approach priorities with different intensity, depending upon where they fall on our lists. When number two becomes the new number one, we bring the intensity it deserves as number one. If we work on our number three, four, and five priorities as if they are third, fourth, and fifth in importance, there is a corresponding drop-off in quality throughout the day. Everything seems exciting and energized in the morning when energy is being invested in the number one priority, but by the end of the day there is a feeling of disappointment and letdown.
