Marketing, operations, HR and IT all see the world through different coloured glasses. The challenge for the leader and influencer is to find the common ground behind which these different constituencies can unite. Agreeing the problem and the solution is not about talking smart. Good leaders have two ears and one mouth and use them in that proportion. In other words, listening is good leaders have at least as important as talking.
